Meet Stephanie Winter, Owner of Singing Waters Nature Retreat
Stephanie Winter’s path to wellness began in 2012 when she first discovered yoga. That practice quickly opened the door to a new passion: sound healing.
“Yoga gave me such a sense of peace, and when I was introduced to sound healing by my sister in Germany, I realized how powerful sound can be for the body and mind,” Stephanie recalls. Her first experience with a “sound tube”—an instrument large enough for the body to rest inside—sparked a lasting curiosity about healing frequencies.
In addition to yoga and sound work, Stephanie had always been drawn to massage. “Even as a child, I loved giving massages to my siblings,” she says with a smile. What began as a playful pastime eventually led to her becoming a licensed massage therapist, specializing in various healing modalities including energy work.
To deepen her knowledge, Stephanie completed a yearlong program with the Sound Healing Academy based in England. Today, she shares her gifts at Singing Waters Nature Retreat, where guests experience the soothing resonance of her monochord sound table—an instrument imported from Germany—alongside crystal bowls, tuning forks, Tibetan bowls, and chimes.
“My mission is to offer people a place to relax, recharge, and reconnect,” Stephanie says. “Every session is about creating space for someone to feel nurtured and restored.”
